I have been experimenting with different timings for SWF and SR and have not found one yet that my body has success with. For instance, if I drink 1 full serving (2 scoops) of SWF at 30 min prior and SR (only one scoop) at 10-15 min prior, I seem to get lethargic, dry mouth, little dizzy, and tired during my workout, which indicates hyperglycemia. I've tried moving the drinks closer to my workout; however, I get the same result. I may just use half a scoop to see how my body reacts.

In this case, I recommend moving Surge Recovery during training and having only Surge Workout Fuel and/or FINiBAR prior to training.

If you are sensitive to this protocol, I'd eliminate Surge Recovery in favor of Anaconda and/or MAG-10.

@ Mod Brian. I tried your recommendations out yesterday (1 serving SWF 15 min prior to training and SR during training) and it made a tremendous difference in my energy levels and the amount of weight I pushed around. Thanks for your input and the time you take out to answer all our posts.

ok so sorry if someone asked this before but the new Surge Workout Fuel contains 24 servings correct? thats what it says on the bottle, and the flavoring agent comes with 20 servings... this seems like an obvious design flaw to me
especially when the bottle says do not consume without flavoring
is there a solution to this?

I can't imagine someone using an entire bottle of flavoring with SWF. I don't have a bottle in front of me so I can't be certain but I would guess that serving on the flavoring bottles relate to Anaconda/MAG-10 instead of SWF. You don't need nearly as much for SWF. I know everyone's taste will differ, but I use half as much flavoring with SWF as I do with Anaconda/MAG-10. I used 1/2 a cap for two scoops and 20oz of water once, once. It was way too strong.

I have purchased a total of 4 Anaconda, 4 MAG-10, 1 SWF. I am on my last bottle of Anaconda and MAG-10 and about half-way through my SWF, I have 12 bottles of flavoring unopened.

As another poster already mentioned, far less than 1 serving of Biotest Intensified Liquid Flavoring is required for each serving of Surge Workout Fuel.

I use about 1 mL of flavoring per serving of Surge Workout Fuel.

Kinda late to the party here, wanted to share my feelings on the new forumla.

The Intense Flavoring is very sweet. It tastes very much like the old Otter Pops, or Flav-O-Ice sticks I ate as a child. Yes, you can put more/less according to taste, but another concern is the ingredients of the flavoring itself (artificial colors, sweeteners, etc.)

Another word on the flavors - as others have stated, I will also miss the old lemonade!

Mixing - I first tried the "no shake" method as indicated on the directions, but merely stirring was not enough to avoid clumping. I then resulted to shaking the same mixture and everything mixed with no problems (no excess fizz, etc.) Later, I used a blender on a new batch and had no problems.

I'm happy to see each serving packing more carbs per unit weight, obviously since the new formula has no flavoring. And since the new flavoring is not for me, I've just been mixing the Surge Workout Fuel with a serving of vanilla protein powder (not as gross as it sounds!).

Thanks for reading - Razorguts

Hi Brian,

Can Surge Workout Fuel be mixed in the morning (powder, flavouring and water) refridgerated and drunk 8 hours later prior to working out or does mixing it prior affect the quality of the Surge Workout Fuel?

Thanks

This is fine.

We'll often mix it the night before when working with athletes that will be training in the morning.
