hey man my truck is perfectly capable and looks nice too. Dont start this ford vs chevy vs toyota crap.

Oh yeah, you just opened up a can of corn. The Tundra is so capable that I once rescued one while I was loaded down with 6x 20ft 4x12s (soaking wet DF) and the Tundra was towing a full-size dump trailer. I backed my rig into the bog, threw my chain around his front crossmember and around my hitch and put my rig in 4L and broke that fucker loose without spinning mud. This all dead weight too because his rig refused to turn over. The only rig that a Ford bows to is the Cummins. Everything else is just a toy.

Look bro, I could care less really about your heroic stories about ford. I have heard the same exact stories of Tundras pulling out fords and GMC pulling out Dodge, and Chevy's pulling out Tundras. So Big deal. If it really makes you happy to have to bash all other trucks to help justify your purchase then go ahead. I am happy with my Truck and it performs fine. I pulled 9,300LBS from Texas to Washington last year and it did it with ease. I am glad I didn't purchase a truck from one of the big 3. 2 of them filed for bankruptcy and Ford is on the brink! :)

Just messing bro, I hold no harsh feelings toward Yotas. They are proven little performers, but for my tastes when purchasing a real truck I will always sign for a Super Duty. IMO, Tundras are tremendously overpriced for what they are. Always have been. I'll take a King Ranch for 33k than a mere Tundra. Ford is putting right along dude, they are hurting but they arent in line at the government trough.

Considering the class that the Tundra is in, they are priced pretty similar to Ford, Chevy, Dodge. But I agree that they are overpriced. The Ram 1500 are going for the same price as a 2500 and some 3500. That's just uncalled for haha.

The Tundra is a nice truck with a decent powerplant. But it's comparing apples to oranges when talking gas to diesel.

This is my car: a 2003 540i in imola red with the M-tech sport package. Looks like an M5, but not quite. I love this car...it rides very nice, it's fast as hell, and it looks good. I smile every time I start the engine.

I bought it from an 80 year old lady who said, quote, "this is too much car for me!"

One more pic. I realize red is not for everyone. In this case, it's a color (imola red) that was available usually only on 3-series BMW's. The original owner special ordered this 540i in imola red. It only has 37k miles as of today. I think there are only a few like it in the entire country.

My best at the track is a 13.10@108 in full street trim on *hitty Riken Raptors. As soon as I get my rear end finished I'm bolting on my MT's and hope for 12.7's. Btw, it's an 2001 Mustang Cobra(naturally aspirated).

That's my best ET also. I've put suspension on my car for handling but can still get a 13.1. I'm afraid if I did put some MT's I would pop my 10 bolt.

Do you still have an 8.8" or a 9"? I've read that 8.8" is good for 9-10 seconds runs from the factory.

It came stock with an independent 8.8, which is good for about 300rwhp and NO drag strip fun. I happened to have a stock(with the exception of 4.10 gears) 8.8 solid axle from my old GT, so I put it in, and its good for maybe 350rwhp on streets. If you build it like I plan to here shortly it can easily take you deep into the 9's. I really havent had the car that long so I'm still not that deep on mods.
As for my suspension, it's completely stock ford material with some ebay special lowering springs. I will have a full UPR set up within a year though.

I forgot about cobras having IRS. So far I've done: QA1 coil overs, Spohn swaybars, Spohn subframes, Spohn panhard bar, Spohn lower control arms. I'm thinking about a strut tower bar and torque arm from Spohn also.

My rig stock was 20.5k. A stock Tundra was 22-25k. I initially threw 5 grand on my rig and had a better performer and a better looking rig than that Tudra could ever dream of being. It's apples and oranges comparing a city boy's rig to a working man's.

most of the 90's "supercars" had stout powerplants. the 2JZ-GTE, VG30DETT, RB26DETT, hell even the 13B-REW. but yes i am partial to my fairlady

A set of relocation brackets might help with the traction (you probably know that though). And x2 on the piece of crap rears these cars have, mines an M6 so it wont see a set of "real tires" until its replaced by an s60.
