actually you go before a board even for major.
You do, but as long as you don't get a DUI or kill someone, you are going to be promoted. LTC is pretty much the same.

I guess in some ways Im 'Old Army', but I've recently Chaptered out plenty of turds. I've never had too much of a problem getting rid of trash- as long as the counseling packets were straight.
As for GO's, after briefing at least 12-15 of them when they visited the COP/JSS/FOB, or in garrison left me overall unimpressed. Only true board for 'O's is the Battalion Command board- hell, they're paying off Captains to stay in. Defending the integrity of the OER is like defending the integrity of a whore. |

hear he's at least being charged with 13 counts of murder.
not sure if i'd rather see him executed or have him spend the rest of his life turning big rocks into little rocks |

X 2. I have a question HM, if they do put this guy in the big house, is he ever elegible for parole. In the outside world a guy like this has the potential to be released sometime in the future. Since he is GI would that be a possiblity? Just curious. I know the legal system is vastly different in your world than in the civilian world.

13 counts of pre-meditated murder? Motherfucker isn't going anywhere...unless it's to Hell where he's repeatedly sodomized by his virgins Muhammed promised him. |

We were always met with resistance when attempting to chapter Soldiers. There were a couple of "no shit" type instances where alcohol was the issues with multiple offenses, and with the proper counseling. All we would get form BN was, "what have we done for the Soldier"? That crap got frustrating.
Captains were being offered 25,000-30,000 dollars, depending on the branch.
A good OER can be achieved by simply showing up to work. |
