T-Jack FAQ
1. What is the T-Jack Reports?
The T-Jack Reports is consumer advocacy evolved! You try out fitness products, then write up a review for all of T-Nation to read. After that, keep the product you reviewed! Free!
2) How do I get to be a reviewer?
When you see the words "Reviewer's Wanted" in the T-Jack Reports area of the site, click on it and apply. (If you're not a member of T-Nation, you can sign up for free by clicking on the CUSTOMIZE button at the top of the page.)
Reviewers are chosen randomly by computer. If you are chosen, you'll receive a PM or Private Message. Check your PM's daily or you could get left out! You'll need to verify your mailing info via PM within 24 hours after you're chosen. If you don't, you will not get the product!
NOTE: You are not signed up by replying to a thread and asking to be signed up. You are only signed up by clicking on "Reviewer's Wanted" and applying.
To make sure you have your PM's turned on, click on "Customize" then "Save and Edit Profile." In the profile section, toggle "yes" beside the "Allow Private Messages" question. PM's appear in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
3) If I get chosen, how long will I have to review the product and where do I write my review?
Although times may vary, you'll usually have about a week to review the product after receiving it. You will be notified via PM of the deadline. Be sure to note what time of day the review is due. If it's due at 9AM and you try to submit your review at 9:01AM it will not be allowed. The deadline time will be in Mountain time, so do the math and know your time zone.
Also via PM, you'll receive a link to an online form where you'll submit your review. Answer the questions and then fill out the comments section. Use good grammar, punctuation and spelling. Your review should be clear, smart, and fair.
After we receive all the reviews, we'll post them in the T-Jack Reports. (Yours will not appear automatically.) We encourage you to read the responses you'll get and help those people out who have questions.
4) What happens if I miss the deadline?
If you miss the deadline for submitting your review, you will not be able to post it and you won't be chosen again for future reviews.
If, however, you do a good job, meet your deadline, and write an intelligent, honest review, you may be picked again to review future items.
5) Do I really get to keep the product I reviewed?
Yep, you sure do!
6) It says "Pending" instead of "Reviewers Wanted." What does that mean?
"Pending" means that the time to sign up to review that particular product is over. Products are now being shipped and reviewed. Once all the reviews come in, you'll see a star rating system appear. You're then able to click on the post to read and discuss the reviews.
7) Do I have to apply again with each product offered?
Yes. If you want to be considered for that item, you must click on "Reviewers Wanted" for that particular item and fill out the required info.
8) I'm a manufacturer of a fitness or bodybuilding device. How do I get involved?
Equipment makers (as well as those who've written books or made videos) are welcome to contact t-jackreviewer@t-nation.com if you'd like to participate. You can also call 719-473-5500 or PM T-Jack Admin.
9) Can non-US residents get in on this?
Right now, the T-Jack Reports is only for residents of the continental United States. Shipping costs and longer delivery times make this a necessity.
