Solid looking guy, for I believe you said you were 20 in the steroids section.
Either way, looking pretty good, obviously have the ability to diet and get into condition. I would say you need to spend some time developing overall quality mass though. Good work so far, eat and lift heavy shit, then use those cutting skills again when the time is right. |

Looking good man. It shows that you've taken the time and effort to get to where you are. What are your stats/diet like? Keep it up! |

Can't Stop: Thanks My diet during a cutting phase is mostly chicken/fish/veggies. I have the metabolism to be able to only have to diet for a few weeks to get into this condition. I never go zero carb until the final week before a competition/shoot, and of course carb load the night before.
My training alternates between either a few weeks of 4x6-8 or 3x8-12, i believe in the rule of 24 reps per exercise to reach hypertrophy. I usually do 3-4 exercises per muscle group. I train no longer than 45 min- 1 hr. My split right now is:
Mon:back/arms
Tue:legs
wed:chest/shoulders
thurs:alt between legs or back/arms
*I have a busy schedule right now and use my legs a lot, if they have recovered from a tuesday's training I'll hit them again usually with lighter weight, kind of a refining day*
Friday: whichever one I didn't do thursday.
sat/sun: off
I do cardio 3-4days a week when cutting, when bulking hardly ever, maybe 1 time per week or a few times of mild cardio, more like a warm up.
Get Swole: Thanks man. yes I am 20 and I've been training for about 5 years, 3 years with a very solid training and diet. In between my jr and sr year in high school I was bitten by the bodybuilding bug and put on 25lbs of muscle over the summer!
some don't believe it but I grew an inch as well, so It was just a factor of being young and hitting the weights eating like a horse. I agree I need to focus on more mass, I competed in a couple teen competitions and thats why I was cutting. I placed 2nd in both and felt I was robbed but hey what can you do. lol
Now that I'm 20 I have to compete in the men's divisions so I have been bulking all this year. EAT/SQUAT is in my diet and we will see how it works ;) lol
Heartless Bastard: I have a disease where hair on my face is uncontrollable, this is why I spend so much time working on my body :P lol jk
Rico Suave: I am not sure of my bf% i've never had an accurate test. In this pic i'm 6'1" 202lbs. Now I'm around 208lbs.
I always keep my top 4 abs. I'm an ecto. I stay skinny and fairly lean year round. It's packing on size thats the problem, but its a blessing and curse. Most of what I put on is muscle, but very hard to do so. lol
Thanks for your input guys!

Here is another. I put them up on my T-page. I will have back and leg shots soon. I might add I haven't measured anything but my arms. :P In this pic they are 16". They are currently at 16.75" and bust 17 pwo. :) That 17" on the tape always makes me happy. lol

Amazing. I saw that profile pic before on your avatar and I just thought it was a person you envied. I didn't know it was actually you! I love your proportions.
Tyically how many calories do you eat and what ratios? What are your future goals? |

Thank you all for your compliments.
jsbrook: Well long term goal is to become a professional bodybuilder/fitness model and take an olympia crown someday :) lol. Short term goals get up to 215 by the end of the summer. :P I also might have some opportunities to try and bust into fitness modeling. You can't tell from the pics because I deleted my face but I have ears that stick out. They have never bothered me but some job opportunites involving modeling have come up, they just asked that I get my ears pinned back first. lol So I'm considering doing that.
AmandaSC: Thank you for the compliment on my avatar :) When bulking the only thing I really have certain is my grams in protein which is 1.5-2g per lb of bodyweight. Calories take care of themselves but I shoot for at least 4000 a day. Get more great! less is bad. lol Carbs and fats aren't necessarily a concern of mine when bulking as long as I get enough, overkill with me doesn't hurt much due to a really fast metabolism.
I think I've had a 4-pack since kindergarten. lol I've found through dieting that my maintenance cals are around 3000, below that I drop size fast. Carbs/fats are manipulated depending on what part of my diet I'm in. My long term goals are to be a professional bodybuilder and fitness model.

Wasn't the title "20 years old?" why did you mention the steroids section? |

andrewc1989: I posted in the steroids section about being too young for steroids and stated that I was 20. I forgot what else I said in that post. lol GetSwole was also partaking in that post.

He was the photographer. He contacted me after seeing me at a bodybuilding competition. I did a freelance photoshoot and he placed his brand/name on there. lol

livefromthe781: my off season weight is about 10 lbs heavier than my "contest" weight. I am currently around 205. I think I was somewhere around 200 when I took that pic. I was holding probably a good 5 lbs of water or so. I could probably drop more fat but only if I was striving for striated glutes or something.
I've done it once but dieting that hard caused me to lose way too much muscle. I did that once and started my diet with abs at about 192 and cut up around 172. At my height I just looked lanky with small striations in my glutes. lol I'm shooting to be in the 220's before I compete again.

Was reading through your responses wonder if you could outline a potential week workout of exercises you do. Or just a laundry list of exercises you do for each muscle group that you rotate. Wonder if you do more compound exercises or isolation or a combo. I'm 175 6'1" (Yes, I know I'm small trying to work on it) and I'm trying to push to 190 wondering how you broke through the weight barrier and your lifting regiment.
Oh also, can you list any supplements you use. I try to be a minimalist when it comes to supplements (this might be a mistake), only multi-vitamin, whey protein (do you take pre and post?, are they different, maybe a No Shotgun pre and an Isopure Whey after), and fish oil capsules...but I'm open to natural new supplements.

I usually stick with compound movements squat/bench/deadlift, etc when bulking up. During this time I will use compound movements followed by 1-2 isolation exercises to finish off the muscle. During a cutting phase I usually just manipulate reps, cardio, and my diet. I'm also eating like a horse during this time. 1-2g per lb bodyweight. 4000+ calories is when I start growing. 5000+ seems to be the magic number but I add more water and a little fat. I don't worry too much about fat and carbs because when trying to consume that many calories they usually take care of themselves. I am not doing it this month because I'm finishing up baseball and do not have the time nor am I following the best diet right now, but I usually keep a log of the food I eat that way I can look at my diet and see if I'm getting everything I need.
To put a list of all exercises I do and rotate would take too long. I am one of those guys who knows what muscle groups I'm going to train and know a few exercises that I'm going to do, but the rest I kind of just fill in with what I feel like doing. For example Back usually involves weighted pull-ups (vary grip dedpending on what I feel) and deadlift. Everything else just depends on what I feel like doing for the day. I also pay attention to the parts of the body I need to start working on for a bodybuilding standpoint. I.E. I need a thicker back so I focus more on DL and rows.
As far as supplements: Protein (no soy, I'm anti-soy), BCAA, Glutamine, Multi-Vitamin. This is pretty much my staple.
Fish Oil, Vit C, Creatine, NO/Arginine Product, etc are also added in every now and then.
Don't be a minimalist when it comes to food and supplements and heavy weights ;) lol
