ILS...Imaginary Lat Syndrome. Now I'm no Doctor, but I've seen symptoms in people all throughout my workout tonite. Idk what can be causing it and Idk what the medication is to treat this, but make sure it doesn't happen to you!
WANNA BE UFC...this disease seems really contagious among small frat boy tough guys. I know and am friends with several true 'fighters' who bust ass and train 5 days a week various martial arts and also find time to weight train. They also actually fight and try and win belts and stuff.
SO DONT COME TO THE GYM WEARING YOUR AFFLICTION SHIRT AND TRY AND ACT HARD! Affliction is super expensive anyways IDK why anybody would want to get blood or sweat on it in the gym...oh that would require training which they do not do so its okay.
This disease is often seen best by the person seemingly exercises their 'muggin' muscles of the face. AGAIN I'm no doctor, but I think the only medication would be a serious ass kicking by the little nerdy looking asian kid with a little cauliflower ear who is quietly busting his ass in the corner.
(got a buddy who is about 5'10" 150 and looks and acts like a geek, the small asian guy training hard in the corner, doesn't really seem tough at all...looks like a video game nerd...anyways he just broke some doods face up and tweaked the doods ankle in some lock last saturday to win whatever belt he was shooting for)
Pussitis- This disease runs rampant all throughout life...only medication is to just grow a pair!
Well there may be more diseases out there but my gym was seriously infected with this...I really hope I don't catch any of these :(
LOL /RANT!

Better than my gym, where 50% of the people become confused and offended when asked for a spot. |

For some reason I feel really insecure in the weight room at school. I walk around pretty modestly with my head down, and I'm one of the most shredded dudes there (5' 9" 200 lbs, may not be big, but I gots lots of muscles and little fat! :) lol). Then we got the fags who walk around stealing my squat racks like they own the place! Grrr
We also have a kid with serious ILS. Youd think he has magnets on his hips and hands that repell eachother. He swings his arms like hes God. I guess I've only seen him lift 3 times the past 3 weeks.
Did a few sets of 185 at power cleans (yes 185 all 3 weeks) and somehow he's bigger than the dudes doing one arm curls with 400 pound dumbbells. Word |

My GF makes fun of ILS guys allll the time. Shit is so funny when she sticks her arms out all far and walks around with a funny look on her face. She tells me "You walk like that too, but that's because your back is huge!" lol |

I saw a guy in my gym wearing a pair of tapout fight shorts. I asked him where he fought. He looked at me with a bewildered gaze. He said he would never fight because he doesn't want to get hit in the face.
Pathetic. |

I saw a guy do a set of bench press with 3 inches of ROM then got up and proceeded to shadow box while making strange noises for like 5 minutes. He then called a spotter of and did a 275 bench for 1RM with 2 inches of ROM. This is his work ouot 4 times a week. I don't know what this disease is.
And everyone wears a lifting belt, regardless of weight or exercise. But no one deadlifts or squats. I don't know what this disease is.
Gyms in Japan are weird. |

My gym seems to have guywhodoesn'tpayattention-itis, in which the infected:
Set up shop on the bench where you've been doing DB presses for the last 20 minutes and have clearly marked your territory with the DBs and water bottle.
Walk two feet in front of you in the middle of a set of heavy deads with no regard to your personal space
Sit on the Hammer Strength machines and meditate or something while CLEARLY you're waiting for said machine...
I could go on and on

Clean Spotter's Disorder:
Where you ask for a spot, dictating very specific instructions not to help unless you are going to crush yourself, then the spotter seems compelled to clean the bar off you every rep of your bench press. Grrrrrr. |

WANNA BE UFC is actually startin to leak out here in oz. MMA isnt big here at all, most people only know either Tito or Kimbo slice if they know anything.
So when I saw a guy in an affliction tee last week, Im thinking sweet a guy a can talk to about fighting, but he says he doesnt even know what UFC is and wouldnt even want to be a fan of a sport where guys wrestle half naked.
I felt like choking him out on the spot, but remembered hes got enough problems with ILS and all the other disorders he has. |

Nothing wrong with wearing tapout stuff.
Just not proper gym attire.
Old ass T's with holes in them are proper gym a tire.
And why the fuck do people wear those rediculour ghetto hats to the gym ?
How do you lift with that thing on ?
An old baseball hat I can understand if you have long hair, but a giant, straight brimmed hat ? |

I am not a doctor (or a dentist! X)
But I have seen lots of OCD (Obsessive Curl Disease):
I go into the gym and some dudes are curling, fine, I do ten sets of BB rows followed by six sets of JM press and 5 mins doing band pushdowns. I then start stretching ready to head to the shower and, guess what, those dudes are STILL curling! OCD for sure! |

lately, when i first getting to know someone, they mentioned a little later that they were basically pleasantly suprised that i wasnt just another meathead (like they had assumed)....at first i was slightly offended, wondering what that meant....but on reflection of all the stupid stuff i see every day in the gym, now i can see that they actually seemed to have a legitament concern |

I have a friend who has ILS...does this make me a bad friend? I've heard friends don't let friends perpetuate ILS.

Pathetic.
Of course, poetic justice would have been to bitch slap him across the face.
But that would have been just plain mean. |

i see stuff every day that makes me want to go ape shit. just the other day, i saw a kid..probably 18 or 19. maybe 140 lbs wearing a wife beater of course. he's sitting on a bench doing concentration curls with his left arm while texting someone with his right. good job. i hate when people yap on their cell phones in the weight room. my cell phone stays in my locker. nothing is that important that can't wait til i finish my workout. if there's truly an emergency, i've given instructions to call the gym and have me paged. then i'll know it's something serious.
leave the cell phones in your locker, stop blabbing during your damn workouts and maybe you'll actually get some fucking results. |
