Nice JB.

Too bad I have a huge training season coming up after august or i would try this out. Instead I think I'll try and rev the hell out of my G-flux. G-flux makes me sweat like hell.

At least you can eat on this program, unlike the velocity diet ;oP

It was worth the wait!

Thanks JB, I liked it. I actually followed a similar diet last time I saw my abs; those were the toughest 6 weeks I ever endured. Of course, I was a broke student and couldn't afford any of the supplements you recommend (except the fish oils and vitamins), but the fat melted off like butter in Summer. Next time I'll follow your instructions, though :-)

One question: Should women supplement differently in any way because...you know...of their girly things? I was thinking along the lines of extra iron.

You know we are living in the End Times when you can see Dave Tate's abs...

Good One!!

I was wondering for some time what happened to D.T. and his food action project with John.

Well, results are funtastic... especially, considering Dave's previously the same hard core approach to nutrition as to training.

I am really impressed!!! Good to see that SHW does not have to be SHF(at)!

Sounds quite interesting. Some of what you were saying goes along with what Poliquin was saying in the last Roundtable about people being able to STAY lean on more carbs then when trying to GET lean. So I can see how this would benefit.

What type of training would you recommend to supplement this? Something relatively low in volume I'm guessing?

I don't understadn why this diet is so hard.

Is it the lack of calories because other wise that is a decent amount of food.

Does yout body start buring it off so quick that you empty out soon after eating?

Someone enlighten me please. I think could follow this diet easy, the v-diet did not sit well with my teeth that have to chomp on something other than ice all damn day.

This doesn't seem that intense compared to the Velocity Diet.

Excellent article.

Many of the genetic effects believed to be associated with longevity due to calorie restriction happen after only 2 weeks, and longevity improvements are seen at a reduction of only 10%, though more is better, up to ~ 45 %.

Not eating every third day has also been shown to have similar benefits, but not quite productive to everyone's goals around here.

Looks more intense to me. And I think the calories are lower too though I'm not too familiar with the velocity diet.

I do suppose the lack of solid food on the V-Diet could be very difficult. I prefer this and think this is something I could do. Something I would [maybe will do] after my next bulk when I have fat on my body.

remember you are still training hard on this diet, it's 6-12 weeks(quite a while i would say to go on 1800 calories for my body weight).

Do you have a big appetite, mate? Living on 1800kcals was very difficult for me. I would imagine 2350kcals for you would also be pretty tough. Just try it for a week and let us know :-) If it's still not hard, then do it for another week, then another, then...

I looked for your diet design services ad I didnt see that listed. I saw a 1 hour phone and 4+ months training option.

Thanks

Thinking I might put this into effect first of the year, since I am on a growth phase right now.
I want to make sure Im doing it 100% right!

I agree this diet doesnt sound to extreme... simple and easy more like it (which makes me believe in it even more)

10xBW is about what I would eat if I only ate when I was hungry and stopped when I was satisfied! But I'm a skinny bastard.

I will definatly be giving this a try next year before my wedding

JB, you're gonna tell us your 3.9% and then not throw up a picture? Hit a front double and show us all what 8 weeks of dedication can do.

Another fat loss diet with a low carb breakdown. I am starting to get convinced..that low low carb is the way to go. Especially after seeing those pics of Tate.

Your only doing 15 minutes of cardio after weight training?

Would you just stick with this or bring it higher?

I personally don't won't to live a long long time in the screwed up, fallen world! but wouldn't mind getting a little leaner than my recent contest condition.

I've used calories guidelines at 10x bodyweight in the past utilizing a 60PRO/20CHO/20FAT ratio, but have never gotten below 7%.

Curiously, what is it about the higher fat ratio (lower protein) that expeditest the fat loss process? Is it due to the excess protein getting coverted to glygogen. If so, that sucks because I'd rather have more metabolic drive over flax/fish oils anyday.
