Ive got a question, just out of curiousity. Since everyone's looking to get huge, no one actually cares about BMI right? A short guy can go around being 200+ lb with less than 10% body fat and still wouldnt be considered overweight, at least from a body building view?

BMI is unsophisticated at best. If you're worried about being too heavy, take your blood pressure and get some bloodwork done.

if you're 280lbs at 5"2, your heart would be under a lot of stress. But generally yes, BMI is trash

Now I am no expert, however I have found that throwing some steel cut oats and whole flax seed in a coffee grinder and adding it to protein shakes is a good way to work them in seamlessly, and adds a nice malty flavor.

I totally agree. I am right in the middle of 'Healthy Weight' on that BMI scale, and I'm skinny as hell. I would qualify as 'Unhealthy Weight' on it should I get to 190, which is my goal. That scale is written for people who have never seen the inside of a gym before.

As long as you have a low fat percentage you're golden. I'm gonna have to try that oats/flaxseed in a grinder thing with my whey....and throw in a banana and a few berries for good measure.

Before you go to bed at night, drink a half liter of water. When you inevitably get up to empty the tank 3-4 hours later, march yourself to the kitchen and eat a meal.

What would you suggest if this doesn't work? I can hammer down a *full* litre *and* a half of water, go to bed, and I just wake up in the morning at my usual time -- but I have to pee REALLY BAD. I'm concerned that if I drink much more, I'll just wet the bed.

My suggestion would be to drink some MD before you go to bed and sleep a full 8 hours or as close to it as you can get.

I've recently ran into this problem going from 205-220+. I get up to 219/221 and then (without changing anything) I drop down to 216.

WTF, right?

Well that's my body turning the metabolism on and getting me down to a more 'comfortable' weight.

Don't let this piss you off too much. Just focus on two things:

1.) are you getting stronger? if so, who cares? if not, what are you doing wrong?
2.) eating more. eating cleaner. and eating at the right times.

I put on 20lbs in the last 4 months. I'm doing a bodybuilding program that makes me do as many isolation movements as compound movements. Doing abs/traps/forearms/cardio on my off days.

Diet wise, chicken shawarma, and chicken with rice doused with that calorie dense white sauce has been the answer to eating around 4,000 calories a day. Cheap, easy, tastes great. I love arab food.

some interesting stuff here. Nothing like sleep, water, and lots of good quality food to make you grow.
