I finished a bulking cycle about 2 weeks ago and put on a good 7 or so kilograms 76 to 84kg. After water weight disappeared I lost about 2kg more so I was down to about 81 to 82 depending on time of day.

Sorry thats hard to understand but recently I started cutting and have been increasing intake of fish oil, have changed my routine from to an OVT. Usually i keep my sets limited to 3 excluding warmups so this increase in sets to 5 has been more demanding and i Know this program is designed to build size and CT did it when he was cutting to gain a lot of muscle. I have been eating very limited in terms of food and only consume very few carbs or fats and have stopped all supplement use like creatine as of a week ago.

My question is why have i gained mass during this last week? I have gone back up to 84kg despite my eating habits dropping and program changing drastically. I feel as though i have lost fat but i just dont understand where this mass has come from. This is also before eating or drinking so I know its just not food in my stomach...

That means you're cutting right? Be happy with it.

If you can see you're considerably leaner, maybe theres something in your change of diet and/or training that you've not been paying enough attention to. This had lead to some new growth.

Play with it, and thank yourself you found it.

It's your body becoming more efficient with it's nutrients. It's what happens when you cut. The same happened to me. At first i felt flatter and smaller but then you look and feel larger and more muscular. This should also tell you about your bodies preference and metabolism type.

This always happens to me when I cut. It usually happens about 2 - 3 weeks in, where I go up in weight maybe 4 - 5 pounds. When I continue the cut, I usually end up back to where I started or just a little below. It's strange, but I think it's kinda like body recomp. I don't see why that would happen, as I'm not a beginner, and I'm not overweight... it just does.

Its really weird, I have been paying the legs/glutes a lot more attention as that held the most fat in my body. Well im happy its working and I bought some cutting supps lastnight to help it. Lol i have to laugh how the thread does get moved to beginners though. I've been lifting for nearly two years now, I just dont grasp some of the small things.
