I was dead lifting on Wednesday (April 30, 2008), and I hit a PR on my 5RM. During the set and after the workout, my lower back felt fine. However, the next day, when I woke up, my lower back was feeling really sore.
I attributed this to a good workout, but the lower back soreness has plagued me since that Wednesday. I wouldn't exactly call it an injury, because it doesn't inhibit my lifestyle, but I would like to know what's up with my back?
Something which could be making this soreness even worse is that I have a very mild case of lordosis which could be aggravating my back. I'm very worried about injuring my lower back because I am currently 15 years old and 5'11", and I think I still have some growing to do!
It is Friday today, two days later. So far, my conclusions are:
1) The lower back muscles are still sore/stiff. They need more time to rest.
2) I might have messed something else in my back up....But what?
To solve this problem, I plan on doing some extensive spinal decompression after my workout today, mainly hanging from a pull-up bar and letting my body go limp.
Do you guys have any insights on my problem, or any suggestions on how to cure it?
Thanks a lot!! |
