Your doctor is an ass. It is widely known that some people do not respond to Androgel and get little or nothing from it. Blaming you for that just shows that not only is he ignorant, he's rude. Personally, I wouldn't put up with that shit from anyone, especially someone I am paying for help.
TRT is serious business and so your first priority should be to educate yourself about it to the point that you know as much or more about it as a TRT specialist. It isn't hard to do that if you apply yourself. As for treatment, dump this asshole and find someone who knows what he's doing or you will be sunk.
Yes, injections are the way to go combined with an aromatase inhibitor and hCG. When you go to the new doctor, insist that he include E2 levels in your blood tests.
