It is the average genetics defeating gravity through years and years of hard work, shitload of food, enormous amounts of squats, and an iron will:

I present to you - Einar Gilberg - IPF lifter, here doing 300kg (the limit of shame) for the first time, wearing only a belt and knee sleeves (those do not help).

I salut the king of squat, this is the mother of all squat, it is the Einar squat! Essz!

Being a person who has used knee sleeves, it is ignorant to say they don't help.

This guy is still a badass, your comment about knee sleeves was just silly.

And why is 300kg the 'limit of shame?' Serious question, I've never heard that before.

Carry over to what?

I have two different 'stiffnesses' of knee sleeves, and I get carry over from both of them. Anything that makes it harder for your knee to bend is going to help.

Again, I'm not taking anything away from this guys lift, its still a great raw lift.

Einar Gilberg is wearing rehband knee sleeves. They are made of neoprene...not very stiff.

A man works his ass of for decenniums for a tremendous moment that last for a few seconds. He did this without ever being weak-minded and resorting to performance enhancing drugs.

Those who are unable to see this, respect it and give credit were credit are deserved, are small people in every meaning of the word.

Some people achive great things, while the sheep-people moan and bitch about anything at the slightest opportunity.

Let the debate rage, exhaust your fingers on your keyboard, I'll go and squat with a smile on my face.

Tmodi once said to me: "Sometimes it is enough to just say: Congratulations, great work!"

You're weird kid.

I already made it clear that I was taking nothing away from his lift.

I already made it clear that I was taking away from your post about the knee sleeves. You could have posted any video you'd like, and if you had posted that ignorant comment, my question would have been the same.

How do you know that he doesn't take "performance enhancers" and how would taking them make someone weak minded?

Don't feed the trolls guys.

Let Stallion here have his little party/IPF circle-jerk and he'll calm down and be reasonable for a few months before he does it again.

I have no idea, and if you know the crew personally then of course I'll take your word for it.

Otherwise, all I'm saying is I see a green (50kg), a red (25kg), 3 dark blues (20kg each) and a yellow (15kg). If all the blues are 25kg, then it's 350, if they arent it's 320. I don't understand why they would depart from the convention for colours, plus I'm a suspicious bastard, so I'm saying it looks like 320.
If I saw a bench with 5 blues that was claimed as a 700lb bench, I'd say it looked like 500.
It's not a personal attack on the lifter (who I always assume *isn't* the poster of video), or you. It's an observation, and like I said if you know the crew personally then I will quite happily withdraw it.

Haha, as long as we're doing Internet detective work, check out the bar in the stand in front of him, smokotime.

It has a red plate with black rubber, and the plate facing it has red rubber, too. Therefore we can deduce that they have black-rubbered 25 kilo plates in that gym, too. So I assume we can say it is most likely 350 kg squat.

I know I wouldn't feel the need to add anything to a 320 kg squat if I posted a video of it :)

You realize that a 660 raw squat (especially at SHW) isn't entirely uncommon, right?

For instance
644.9 (292.5) *5.614X 123 (56) Andrzej Stanaszek (Poland/71) 3/22/03 (292.5 kg. @ 52.1 kg., without a squat suit or knee wraps) (Landshut, Germany) (IPF)

639.3 (290.0) *5.653X 114 (52) Andrzej Stanaszek (Poland/71) 5/9/02 (290.0 kg. @ 51.3 kg., without a squat suit or knee wraps.) (Eskilstuna, Sweden) (IPF)

Or the fact that 2 198 lb lifters, 3 220 lb lifters (including a 305 kg squat at 220), all three 275 lb lifters (including 305 kg and 342 kg squats), 2 308 lb lifters, and 3 SHW lifters squatted 600 (272 kg) or better at this year's Raw Unity Meet.

Are you going to make threads for the rest of the lifters I've just mentioned, too?

There was no 305kg squat at RUM from a 220. It was by a 242.

My mistake, must have gotten cross-eyed while counting.

My point remains the same, quite a few lifters hit squats comparable to the one in this thread at much lighter bodyweights at this year's RUM.
