OK I didn't quite know where to post this so I decided to put it here.

I was doing deadlifts on Saturday and my back hurts. The pain is kind of sharp. I bend over it hurts. I move my right leg forwards (extend it) it hurts.

I do powerlifting and I always looked to keep a good form (straight back, chest up). I never had any problems before and I only used belt from 3RM to 1RM.

Any ideas?

believe it or not, but i am not a doctor. you need to go to an orthopedist, but it sounds to me like you might have herniated a disc in your back, that would explain the pain in your leg, probably related to a sciatica.

I expressed akwardly.
When i move my leg I don't have any pain in my legs at all. Just sharp lower back pain.

Thanks anyway.

PS: is there any good article related to lower back?

Edit: I found this thread http://www.T-Nation.com/...c.do?id=1857357 and it seems that me and other Xen have the same problem. So i guess it's icing and resting.

It may be possible to alleviate this somewhat by stretching your hamstrings and calves on off days.

Pulling sumo might also help.
