Southern Californiaâ??s Strongest Man is coming back to Huntington Beach, CA on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 am PST. The contest will be held in the parking lot on Huntington Street off of Pacific Coast Highway right next to the beach across the street from the Huntington Beach Hilton (The same venue as World's Strongest Man 2006).

The contest will feature five popular strongman events including the Overhead Press Medley, the Death Medley, the Keg Toss Over Bar, The Truck Pull and the Atlas Stones.

The contest will determine the best strongman in four divisions including: Heavyweight, Lightweight (231 lbs and under), Teen Heavyweight and Teen Lightweight (185 lbs and under).

Southern California's Strongest Man Updates

Training Day:
We will be holding a Training Day for the contest on Saturday, March 6th @ 11am
1638 Placentia Ave., Costa Mesa, CA 92627
Everyone is welcome to come and try out all of the implements for the show. We will go out for some food and beers after the session is over.

Event Updates:

1) The overhead medley will include a circus dumbbell in both divisions - the LW dbell will be about 120 lbs and the HW will be about 130-140 lbs

2) The truck pulls will most likely be a tractor trailer/semi for the HWs and a tractor for the LWs. Both will be tested to ensure the proper level of resistance

3) We will have the Keg toss standards and the contest kegs ready to go for the training day. We still have to decide whether we are going to use the 1/4 kegs used in WSM or the standard size keg. We will provide the info as soon as the event is tested.

4) A current competitors list will be posted after the training day. The competitor order on the first event (Overhead Medley) will be decided based on the order of contest entries received. We are halfway full and will cap the show at 40 total competitors.
