Hey Thibs,
im currently in a cutting phase and i was wondering what type of carbs would be the best for someone who is carb intolerant, fruit is the only exception but then again there can only be so much glycogen stored in the liver and it does nothing for muscle glycogen excess is just stored as fat. as ive been cutting ive noticed my insulin sensitivity is slowly climbing.
when i have even a smidge of complex carbs whether it be grains, potatoes or the like i immediately begin to feel sluggish and lethargic and feel like its damaging the effectiveness of my workouts instead of fueling them. doesnt maltodextrin act as a complex carb?
your opinion would greatly be appreciated!
i began taking hydrochloric acid tablets for digestion but currently my diet is comprised of majority protein, fats, veges & small amounts of fruits pre and post workout so i havent tried these tablets with any complex carb. i tend to have 1 big ass complex carb meal once every few days.
Fructose is mainly stored in the liver. BUT not all fruits are mostly fructose. In fact, many of them have low amounts of fructose. Fruits low in fructose and high in fiber would be good choices. The following table can help you make good choices:
