I have no idea about how having a video of Date Tate suddenly turns the site into a Dave Tate Shrine... Not to mention the fact that many other lifters were featured in the video. The video highlighted the acheivements of one lifter on one particular day. Dave is as deserving of anyone of that type of feature. I'm sure there will be more to come of other lifters having the same done for them.

Even with the list of injuries mentioned, and some others not, Dave is STILL persuing his goal. His body is not "wrecked" ... He is still able to do something 99.9% of the population cannot do, despite all of the injuries he pushes on.

I didnt get any sort of "hero worship" out of this video at all.

I never knew Thib had an accent. So I guess that really means he could place for a Vin Diesel clone, huh? ;)

This video was fucking great, I was surprised at how good the production values were, and the squat was spine chilling!

Forget Vin Diesel - Coach Thib looks like Sergio Oliva circa 1968 with vitiligo! And he's gained almost another 20 pounds since the video was shot?!

The video was inspirational, although I enjoyed the previous Dave Tate video on bench pressing even more because of all the great tips he provided.

As a daily reader of T-Nation, please have more Dave Tate articles. This guy is what T-Nation is all about. Anyways this video motivated me to do a 25 rep superwidowmaker set as my last set of squats last night and right now it is hurting my legs to type this. Thanks for the motivation DT and CT.

I thought the video was great...until the hyperbolic treatment of Dave's squat set in. It was an awesome show of strength but the video and narration were a little over the top talking about demons, depression, suicide, and childhood bullies over a set of squats. That's just me though.

Yeah, it was a little much.

x2

I thought the video was awesome right up until the narration started. Too slick sounding, as if the video needed that. It didn't. Regardless, more videos with this crew would be a welcomed change.

That was awesome. I hope you guys do one on CT as well.

I agree. Imagine if we got a TC or Tim Patterson one too, that'd be interesting!

I am curious to what Tim Patterson looks like these days, they showed one pic of you and he was around 195 and shredded. I wonder if he added any mass or what.

Awesome feature! It's always inspiring to see huge guys lifting huge weights! Makes me feel like a weenie too, but motivating nonetheless!

Dave,
Good news and bad news.

I'm watching the video and I loved it. Tiffini walks over and sees you and says "Oh, that's Dave. He's a nice man." And walks away.

It's true, you know...

I get chills from watching this I have had a similar experiance when he talks about the wal-mart parking lot. I know why I train to them and not let them control me.
