Thanks!
I had to toss out the little ghost marsh mellows I bought for the kids..they were starting to meld anyway..feeling so snacky today!! The weekends are hard because unless we are out and about, I wanna eat! Especially hard with the hubby sitting around with his nachos, watching football..grrr
I know its not that I CAN'T have those things, but they aren't part of the plan right now :(
Can't wait til Friday...REEEEFEEEEED!!! |

Don't forget to link to your old log in your OP so it doesn't get lost forever!
Got any fresh spinach or greens to toss in oil and vinegar for the snackyness? Or tea? I found those to be the best for keeping me away from the chips and stuff.
I hear you though, autumn weekends + hockey games = junk food temptations. I've been keeping a whole roasted chicken and hard boiled eggs in the fridge for snacking on. When I finish one chicken, I cook another. Since they're not very expensive and it's easy to toss one in the oven it gives me something savory to satisfy my want for nachos and popcorn.

Hey Deb, good to see you!!
I have a big salad almost everyday on this diet..I should take stock in bagged spinach and romaine..I swear I'm at the store every other day!
If I have just eaten a meal and I'm hungry an hour later(which happens a lot) I'll eat string cheese or pickles, LOL!! Hard boiled eggs hurt my tummy..unfortunately being hungry is the uncomfortable part of this diet..
weight is UP to 195..wth?!
I had marsh mellows and french fries..not a lot, just a handful...guess those are off my list..shoulda just had a free meal if it was going to cost me 2 pounds!!
can't win em all I suppose! I'll be back down tomorrow ;P |

good training today..I made the squat rack my biotch!
It was first on my list, but had to save it for last..as I started with just the bar, I got this horrible shooting pain through my bitch-ass left knee..and yes I warmed up before hand..so I try again, no go..a third time with just my body weight, nope...grrrrr
So I lunged to the bench to stretch it out :P
Bench- 4x6x110
Pull-ups- 4x6x75...(pretty good for me considering I started the year using practically the whole stack of weight)
Sqwat :P
Barx10
1x6x95
2x6x115
1x6x125
*not bad, considering I haven't squatted in awhile...I last left off with 185x3..I will keep squatting as long as my knee cooperates*
Single leg DL-4x6x95
Pulled a hammie..stretched it out...I think this exercise works better with lighter weight/more reps
Incline db bench-3x8xx45s
*there was a guy using 30s, and I was praying he would go up in weight so he wouldn't be embarrassed :P*
Front raises-3x8x15s
10min stretching - I'm noticing that the more 'padding,' I'm losing the more I am pulling things, or cramping up..and more sore the next day..or maybe I'm just getting old..(or need more potassium?)
And then I realized I forgot to eat something before I left this morning, and now I feel queasy cause I found out the hubby got put on 'the list,' to go overseas..duty over there is 12-18 months..great.
It is Monday, isnt it?
There was a couple interesting characters at my gym..two really tall manly looking women..one had facial hair, and the other had chest hair..but they had boobs..I was confused and trying not to stare..I believe they were females going male, cause they clearly didn't know what they were doing in the lifting department.. |

Congrats on your log. I have admired your squat since I saw it over on meat's thread.
Did you really just say the s/hes must have been female because they didn't know how to lift??? ! :D

Good job getting in the squat rack after working out your knee pain. Its awful to be limited by bum body parts or lack of recovery. How I wish that I starting lifting at age 18!
I'm sending get-hubby-off-the-list karma. Yikes.

Arachne- That *HAD* to be going female to male..cause a male going female would at least be moving some weight!! Highlight of my day..how sad..And thanks about the squats..I think squatting finally clicked this year..but now my knee SUCKS!!
Kimba- I'm with you..I started this on again off again playing around with weights when I was 20! 10 years later, if I knew then what I know now, I'd be putting up a lot bigger numbers at least..and *LOOK* life I lift as well..oh well..I only really started with the big three within the last couple years..even still I feel like I should be further ahead..then again, what's the rush? :)
Oh, and about this 'list,' once he's on, there's no way off!..so it's like we are waiting for the bomb to finally drop, ack! He was almost safe, cause he was going to get braces done..and they can't send you because you have to be near an orthodontist..the SOB in charge DENIED his extension here to get it done..mutha... |

sorry about the overseas business with your husband. :(
great news on the 192!!! i went to step on the scale, and the battery is dead.....slight panic attack for a moment. now i don't live and die by the thing, and i do think of it as an experiment (i am a scientist after all...)
but it being dead today after my weekend of bday celebrating and yesterday's napa trip on top of getting ready to fly to NY tomorrow...it's got me trippin. better pick up a battery on the way to the gym.. ;) |

Hey MiM =)
Did you read the Mike Roussell article?
http://www.tmuscle.com/...ou_vs_your_body
That was a good one.
Are you on the Anabolic Diet now?
You work at a gym don't you? That has to help with getting you to the gym.
Do you have your week scheduled out with your plan?
As a mom you must have to organize and plan everything.
I've been eating a lot of the tuna packed in olive oil. I take off the lid, drain some of the oil, then pour balsamic vinegar right into the can. I let it sit for a bit then mix it up then dump it on my salad or roasted vegetables.
I'm looking forward to reading your new log.

Hey Celeste! Thanks for stopping in :)
Yep, I work at the gym..I'm a Personal Trainer..at least I'm *TRYING* to be..business has been slow :(
Right now, I'm doing a diet by Lyle McDonald..you can google RFL(rapid fat loss) My first cycle was 9 weeks, and I lost 18 pounds!! Took a two week diet break and I just started a second round last Wednesday..lost 5 POUNDS of water in three days! :O If I hit 191 by tomorrow am that's 7 lbs in a week!!
Ok, more than you wanted to know, :P
Yep, I gotta be organized! Mostly with my time spent at home while the kids are in school..I try to schedule people during those hours, but life happens and I have to sometimes coordinate with the hubbys schedule..I'm also taking online classes, so I try to get the weekends homework done during the week..not to mention cleaning the house, blech!
Tuna: I really like the kind that comes in the packets, already flavored..I've been doing warm turkey cutlets over a TON of romaine lately..with just a dab of mayo...ALMOST as good as a turkey sandwich! :)
wow, what am I doing on here? I have homework! :P

I've seen his diet. It's crazy reduced cals and reduced workouts.
Are you hammering in about 1000 cals a day and about 84gs of protein?
wow.. that sucker is TOUGH! I know Brick and elusive had success on that thing and I hope they bump their threads in the Supps forum.
Good luck to you!
I did it for 2 weeks and lost 11 pounds but I think that was mostly water due to such drastic carb restriction.

Thanks for the mentions in those..
This diet is crazy, but it feels good to finally be getting this over with! And what was even more of a relief, is that I didn't blow up and skyrocket in weight when I took my break..in fact all I gained was water(5 lbs of it!), evident in the fact that I was back down to my ending weight three days after I started my second round..that gives me hope that when I finally get to a weight I am comfy maintaining, it won't be impossible!
There will be room for enjoying food, balanced with good training! |

It is simple, not easy, but I also think it is just good for a short period to really clean up your diet if your eating habits are getting lazy.
I'll be reading =)

Its not that my eating habits were getting lazy..but the moderate approach was sloooow and kind of confusing in a way..not steady progress like this anyway! |
