Creatinine levels are a product of muscle breakdown. Most muscular athletes will have slightly higher levels just because they have more muscle mass that is being broken down via exercises at any given moment. As for BUN levels, this is a product of protein. Slightly elevated levels are nothing to worry about, since all normal ranges have been taken using the "average joe" as a bench mark, not your muscular high performance athlete. If BUN levels get to high however, you could begin to run into gall bladder stones, kidney stones, and gout. I recomend keeping well hydrated and avoiding alcohol as much as possible. |
