What?s up all? This post is aimed at any military guys, especially Army or Marine Corps, who use AAS. I?m prior service Marine Corps and a dedicated iron-head. I do some journalism work and I?m currently looking to do a story about AAS use in the military. Please don?t everybody scatter for cover like a mortar round is falling or cuss me out for being a rat. I?m very much pro-military, and pro-steroid use for informed adults. I?m working with a well-established freelance writer named Jonathan Green, who you can check out at www.jonathan-green.com. We?d like to talk with anybody who?s in Iraq or Afghanistan, has recently returned, or is soon on their way, and has firsthand knowledge of AAS. We?re not going to dime anyone out, and we?re not going to ruin anybody?s access.

The last thing we want to do is get anyone in trouble or take away anyone?s setup. Believe me, I understand that with the media attention on steroids and sports, the heat is on much more for our military guys, and for everyone else for that matter. This can be a good opportunity for you to get your opinions heard in a widely circulated magazine. Most likely the article will appear in Men?s Health, GQ, Esquire, or something of that nature. The public never hears anything about responsible steroid use by knowledgeable adults. We?d like to tell the stories of people who use steroids to enhance their physical abilities, not so they can hit a baseball further or make the Olympic team, but because they serve in the world?s most dangerous places. If you want your name and unit to stay confidential, then, absolutely, we will protect that. If you?re not worried, and you want your fifteen minutes of fame, we can throw your name and picture out for God, little Suzy, and everyone else to see. This is an absolutely serious post, and this story is going to be written and published. If it isn?t written with your information, experiences, and opinions, then it?s going to be written with someone else?s. If you?ve got your ass in the grass (or sand), just had it there, or are about to have it there, and you?ve got some firsthand knowledge of AAS, please contact me.

Or if you know someone who has this experience, please pass this along and see if they would be willing to be interviewed for this piece. You can reply to this in a private message through the board, or, preferably, you can email me at jflt_jnyg@yahoo.com, that?s jflt_jnyg, or, you can email Jonathan through his website. Thanks a lot. Stay hard

Why cant we just let these men and women do their jobs? They are there to protect and serve. Why give them a bad name by writing about steroid use in the military right now? This isn't the time for such a story. The last thing we need is to ruin the image of the American soldier. You have to understand most people are stupid.

They will not see this article as informative and learn something from it. They will read it and be nothing but more biased on the issue. Do the American soldier a favor and write about something else for they gave you the freedom to even come here and talk about such a thing.

I am surprised you'd even think that anybody here would even begin to tell you that in times like these. We are getting enough heat as it is you think we want more?

In case you haven?t heard this war is not very popular back home and the only thing keeping us going is the fact that the public is behind us even if they don?t support the war. But that is even in jeopardy now due to some unfortunate incidents.

Look for your dirt some place else

Happy 4th to all military past and present!

As far as your request for information... I agree, the military has it hard enough right now without a biased article like you propose... if indeed you are a journalist.

Don't know why... but deep down I smell OSI, or some other investigative branch of the military.

So, how long have you worked for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service?

Why don't you stop being such a vulture and pick up a rifle and stand a post?

well, i'm currently in the Al Anbar province in Iraq, but i'm not gonna say what people are using. most of the people that are on gear are the POG's, not the grunts anyway.

ordinarily i would provide input for this article, except the last time i did i got tore up, so i should've taken the other memebers advice on this board and kept quiet.

i'm not saying that this artile will be negative, but the general public is going to look down on steroid use regardless of the information that they are presented with. that's just the way it is....

I can't believe what I am ready. Why on earth would you even mention the fact of the Military?

I served for the USMC 8 hard years and I can not believe you would even display your position, your where abouts, or any other information pertaining to the Military on this thread.

I lost 4 men in Iraq, roids are the last thing on anyone's freakin mind.

If you want to make friends this is not the best way to start.

Man, what is the deal with this Steroids in Iraq business? I mean, who cares? It should be the least of concern for the people out there.

Maybe it'll help them achieve more strength and 'combat aggression' in a fight, but I keep seeing this post week after week and for some reason it irritates me.

i know a lot about steroid use in iraq. I am currently being punished for it right now as we speak. I am a marine in 2/8 golf. I was a cpl and i have been court-martialed and am waiting ther brig when my unit gets back from iraq. The 2 main types of steroids you can get in iraq from the pharmacies is deca and testosterone. It is a wide epedimic especially among grunts who are outside the wire and who have access to the pharmacies. Only 5 of us were caught but my whole company was using them.

They're just fryin us to make an example out of us and are doing nothing to the other marines who are using them. After the brig I am going to be recommended by my battalion commander to get kicked out with an other than honorable discharge. Pretty harsh since the marine corps has been turning a blind eye on steroid use for a long time

If you were a U.S. Marine, then you'd know it's spelled with capital fucking "M!!!"

There's one thing worse than somebody trying to bust the asses of the guys just doing their job-- a fucking poser.

So golf, where you aware that what you just did (posing as a veteran) is now a felony in the USA? I hope you get busted.

And assuming you are what you say you are, your ass should get thrown out of the Corps with a piss poor attitude like that. Once again I'm making an assumption you are in the military, but there it would absolutely astound me that a shithead little puke like yourself would even last a day in recruit training.

golf and OP: GO FUCK YOURSELVES!!!

The word you're looking for is "pogue". As in office pogue, derived from being able to bribed with pogey bait. Ain't many of those around here.

Steroids is a very big part of the war outside the wire in Iraq right now, I know from first-hand experience, I've been on 2 deployments to Iraq and 1 MEU, and on all 3 I've seen over 50% of my company using anabolic steroids, and just like Golf5 said about the 2 main kinds are true, put it this way if you are a grunt in iraq right now, its easier for you too buy steroids from a local IP than it is to walk to your kitchen and grab a bag of chips, literally... I mean you can go into the gym at a fob, and watch Marines buy it from the local IP... They give you everything you need...

I might add to this that I was medically discharged roughly 2 years ago. In that time I have worked my balls off to be capable of being an effective weapon yet again.

I am now proud to say, after many grueling sessions at the gym and all the other training I have utilized, that just recently I passed my military physical and medical screening after having been told 2 short years ago my career in the Corps was over..

I get sworn in next week, and report for training this summer. I can honestly say this has been my proudest accomplishment.
