Bless you, Jilly. I can tell this one's going to get as much traffic as vroom's beginner thread. I know I'll be bookmarking it as I'm starting my sister's training very soon. |

Very nice work, Jilly! I know you must've spent a lot of time compiling this list of articles, but many will benefit from it. Thank you!

I'm a newbie so this compilation of articles is almost everything I was looking for!
One question I did have (and I may need to start a new thread) is if any T-Vixens have actually been able to get rid of cellulite through training? I am probably 20% fat (5'9" and 143 lbs) and have been training for 2-3 years but can't quite get rid of the last of the cellulite. Are my efforts fruitless or can this really be done? |

There's another one by Christiane Lamy going up next Wednesday on glute training.
Just thought I'd give you a heads up!

Thanks Jillybop! My wife is just getting in to this site and has been reading a lot of the begginer's articles. She's hooked on this site, and that post you made is going to help her out greatly.
THANKS AGAIN! You truely deserve to be one of the ones who won the team Staley give away. |

Don't know if you started a new thread but I just came across this one. Cellulite going away or not depends on a lot more than just exercise - it's a lot about your genetics and skin. Personally, I don't seem to be the type that gets it a lot/has it bad. Even at my heaviest (194), it was pretty much confined to the three inches or so below my butt, and my butt cheeks. I have pretty thick skin so what I do have isn't as apparent as someone who has thin skin. I wish I'd kept better track of my BF% so I'd know at what % it goes away, because for me it does. Other females I've seen can work out like crazy and not seem to lose it. I have no idea what their entire WO routine is or what their diet is like but I see them at the gym every day doing stuff that 'should' yeild better results. |

karma-
thanks- i was wondering about other women's experience. i'm the slender/fit girl with cellulite, but it didn't appear until recently when i turned 30. i have been slacking lately so i think i can probably get rid of it now that i've picked up my efforts again.

Actually I'm writing 2 articles currently...maybe 3...one on Women and Anabolics, one about women and fat-burners, and one about females and training....Maybe when they're done they can be added to this list...

I'm actually researching those articles still....my knowledge of female endocrinology is embarrassingly bad; I spent the last 10 years just reading about the male side....now, I'm playing catch-up in the form of reading textbook after textbook on women and steroids and thyroid.

I am returning to the gym after several months off.
Even though I have read them before, it is great having them linked in one spot.
